Kids Thanksgiving Ideas

If you're hosting Thanksgiving for family or friends and expecting a tableful of kids consider putting aside some time to create a bit of fun for them (and hopefully some more peace for you).

Easy table activities are the best way to keep everyone in the same room, and they are not weather dependent! Here are a few fun and easy ones that you can prepare way ahead of time:


1. They make a tee pee

This is a cute art project that can fill up a fair amount of time just with the coloring. All you have to do is print out the page and provide crayons or markers, tape or glue stick, and something to decorate the top opening with like a feather, toothpicks, or cotton balls for smoke.

2. They make a Indian hat

Either print out a paper feather or buy real ones at a craft store, and provide white strips of paper for the headband that they can design and color themselves. Markers or crayons will be needed to color with, and tape, a stapler, or glue stick will be needed to connect the parts. If you have extra time make a sample for the kids to follow.

3. Thanksgiving themed activity placemats

So simple! Just print them out and provide pens, pencils, or crayons.
