Music holds a special place in most of our hearts even if we don't get a chance to visit it very often. Having a child around the house is a perfect excuse to bring it to the forefront for some easy entertainment.
Playing and dancing to CDs is one option, but don't think you're limited to kids music. Any fun, upbeat music will likely be appreciated, including songs from Abba, the Beatles, and Van Morrison. Another way to get musical is to break out some instruments. My daughter has always had a wide variety around to choose from, and loves them all from bongo drum to bango to maracas. Children love even the most basic of instruments, so if you don't own any consider buying some small inexpensive ones like a triangle and an egg or gourd shaker.

To get you motivated here is an excerpt from a press release the Environmental Working Group (EWG) put out in 2009:
"Federal law does not require tap water to be safe for long-term consumption; the long-term risks of cancer and other health threats are balanced against the cost and feasibility of purification. As a result, health officials acknowledge that legally binding contamination limits typically allow exposure to levels of pollutants that present real health risks. For hundreds of other contaminants there are no legal limits at all -- any amount is legal."
