Simple & Delicious Broccoli


Vegetarian Times featured this delightfully simple broccoli recipe in their Jan/Feb issue. It is a cinch to cook up and a great way for the whole family to get a healthy dose of anti-cancer nutrients. Dig in!

Recipe:

Sesame Ginger Broccoli

Ingredients
1 lb. broccoli, cut into medium florets
2 Tbs. mirin or apple cider vinegar
1 Tbs. tamari
1 Tbs. minced fresh ginger
1 tsp. toasted sesame oil
1 pinch salt
1 tsp. sesame seeds (I used Eden's Gomasio, which is a yummy blend of sesame seeds and sea salt. No need for the pinch of salt with this mixture.)

1. Place broccoli, mirin or apple cider vinegar, tamari, ginger, oil, and 1/4 cup water in large skillet. Cover, and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Steam 6 minutes, or until broccoli is bright green and crisp-tender. Sprinkle with salt and sesame seeds.
